40 week appt: love my doc!

he's trying so hard to let me VBAC!

had my 40 week appointment today.  I'm still 50% effaced and 2-3cm.  He stripped my membranes again.  He'll do it again on Monday, then I'll go in Tuesday night and he'll break my water.  After that, I have 8-10 hours to go into active labor (I'll have to be at the hospital, but not on monitors so I can walk); if not, then I'll have a c-section on Wednesday.

Also, he mentioned that the doc I don't like is there on Tuesday.  I mentioned that I didn't think she was particularly VBAC-friendly (based on some comments she's made) and he said that she's basically a glorified baby-sitter and that if I go into labor, she'll call him and he'll come in for the delivery.

    That's great, I'm glad you have a doctor that you like and trust.  I like that he will come in even if you go into labor while the other doctor is there.

    I was wondering how you are doing!  glad to hear your doc is  supportive and you have a plan.  Hopefully the membrane stripping gets things started!
