DD watches TV (typically Wilbur, which is a TLC show about a cow who reads books) in the morning (for like 15 min) and at night when she winds down before bed (typically Pooh, for about 25 min).
She is 20 months old (new nest stole my ticker).
I feel really bad, but she got in the habit of Pooh when she was really sick (ER for dehydration) and I haven't tried really hard to end it. In the morning it is just helpful when we are all getting ready.
Re: Does this make me a bad mom?
Liam is 5!
I don't think it makes you a bad mom at all..She enjoys it and it gives her something to do while you are getting ready. If you were plopping her down in front of it all day or even for hours then I would see more of a problem.
What is wrong with that? DD didn't watch tv until 2 because she wasn't interested in it, but now she watches about an hour a day. She spend 2 hours running around at the park this morning and has a play date at 4pm, and is going to the store with me in 15 minute, so now she is eating lunch watching Little Bear. She eats better watching tv than not, and she is underweight, so that is a good thing.
I think a little TV is a good thing. DD really enjoys it and she likes to pretend to be Dora and Swiper and enjoys singing the songs she learns on there. She does lots of other activities, not a problem for me.
jay took the words right out of my big mouth!
