stupid bump won't let me edit my siggy! (vent)

I am so annoyed.  I have been trying to edit my siggy for WEEKS and keep getting the same annoying error message.  I think it is because I have asterisks in my username and the code is written in such a way that it gets confused when I try to login to my profile because it treats asterisks as wildcard characters.  DH was a computer science major in undergrad and he also thinks this is what is going on.  It's so annoying!  I emailed them about it today so hopefully it gets fixed soon.

For anyone curious, this is the error message:

Server Error in '/profiles' Application.
Invalid file name for file monitoring: 'D:siterootwwwprofiles*justducky*web.config'. Common reasons for failure include:

- The filename is not a valid Win32 file name. - The filename is not an absolute path.

- The filename contains wildcard characters.

- The file specified is a directory.

- Access denied.
