I have a winter coat that is pretty form fitting. Needless to say its not going to fit much longer. Any suggestion besides buying a new coat? I hate to buy a bigger coat just for a few months!

I am going to try to wear one that I already have, or borrow from my SIL. I figure the really cold weather is only for another 6 weeks or so, and I REALLY don't want to have to buy a new coat!
I hate wearing a coat in the car anyways, add my belly and being hot all the time from pg, I just pair a hoodie and fleece vest. I keep all the stuff I would need for emergency (hat, gloves, coat) in the car. When I get really big, I borrow DH's athletic coats as they are thin, but warm. If that doesn't work for you...maybe you can find something on sale or clearance or check resale shops?
Ya I just splurged after Xmas on a Jcrew thinsulite long coat, it's sooooooooo warm! I'm really hoping it makes it through at least Feb and into March would be a bonus! After that I'll figure something out, but I don't plan on buying a coat. I shouldn't be all that huge yet....
It's already Feb. Maybe you could use one of your hubby's? I got one from ON during a huge sale for $19 early on in pg since my pea coat is fitted. My big lands end parka still fits for super cold days.
Definitely try a resale shop. The first time I went skiing I didn't know if I would like it, so I picked up a ski jacket at a consignment shop for $20.
Saving money while raising more kids than you bargained for!
I almost purchased a coat from Motherhood a few weeks ago, but DH told me not to get it. I've been wearing my North Face windwall jacket with a fleece underneath. Once my North Face doesn't zip, I'll wear an old one of DH's until winter is over. I figure with, really, only a 1-1.5 months left of super chilly weather, it's not worth it to drop $20-50 on a jacket. I may, however, purchase a coat for the spring.

Layer up! Underarmor cold weather gear works really well and its thin so it doesn't take up much room and you can wear it under regular clothing.
Or check places like TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, etc. They usually have ok coats for cheaper.
