michael Joseph - repost from the nest

Hi all,

Just wanted to say hi quickly and hopefully have a pic of Michael for everyone to see. I am not good at posting pics so sorry if it doesn't come through.

Quick story - My water broke last Thursday night and it all started (we were watching American idol so that show will never be the same for us) We headed to the hospital even though my water broke nothing else was ready to go. They gave me medicine to try to get my cervix ready then onto pitocin. I started pitocin about 2 AM. Baby Michael started to not respond well to the contractions his heart rate kept dropping. Took me off pitocin, I was at 4 cm at 10AM, tried pitocin again and again baby didn't respond well. So at 1 nurse talked me through a c-section. But they decided to check me on last time and I had fully dialated in 3 hours. So no c-section and in an hour and a half and some help with the vacuum Michael Joseph arrived on 1/28 at 2:18. He is a little guy swimming in newborn clothes at 6lbs 11 oz and 19 1/4 inc.

We are also bf and he has done really well, a lot of diaper changes. but he is doing so well at bf I am very relieved.

He is doing very well and I am getting into the swing of being home for 12 weeks.
