Hunger out of control

This baby is trying to make me fat.  I ate breakfast today at 6am (as usual) and my stomach was already growling again before I left the house for work at 6:45am.  I held off until 8:30am to eat a snack and it is now 10am where I am and I feel like I haven't eaten in days!  This kid is killing me.

  • Welcome to 2nd trimester lol :) That's how it was for me last pg and it's starting now. I fill up fast still but then 1/2 hour later I'm starving again!

  • what did you have?  sounds like you are not eating enough.  you might need to change your macronutrient profile

  • My hunger had subsided a lot the past couple of weeks, but is back full force this week. I ate lunch about 30 minutes ago Indifferent

  • I've been eating the same thing I've eaten for a while without issue.  This cereal:

    It has 7g fiber and 9g protein.  I eat it with almond milk and have some decaf hot tea.

    For a snack I had a Luna Bar (3g fiber and 8g protein).

    I know its against all our nature as women, but try adding something fattier to your meal - 2% yogurt, a glass of whole milk, a scrambled egg, a piece of bacon or ham...it will make a big difference.  I use to eat cereal for breakfast every morning and realized the sugar high (even from "healthy/boring" cereals) you get off all the carbs makes you crash & starving so quickly later.

  • Am so there with you!  I had two pieces of toast (one with pb one with strawberry preserves) AND a yogurt about an hour ago and I'm already hungry thinking about what I should have for lunch :/

  • Agreed. I am hungry all the time. I've never eaten breakfast in my life. That's been a huge adjustment.

  • i am a eating machine!  i had a greek yogurt for breakfast and then a cup of dry cheerios.  for lunch i had a pbj on whole wheat and about an hour later i just snacked on carrots sticks.  and i still have an orange and blueberries in my luch bag, lol!
