Anyone else really thirsty at night?

I swear every night I feel so thirsty!  Not so much during the day, only at night.  It seems the more water I drink the thirstier I get.  Then of course that only results in more trips to the bathroom during the night.  Should I try drinking something else...I'm thinking about pedialyte...maybe that would help?

I swear I was just thinking the same thing as I sit here sucking down water.

I get really thirsty at night too. And I love to chew ice when the water is gone. Then refill, repeat

Im not sure what switching to pedialyte would do- do you mean during the day or night? What's wrong with water?

Ditto. always thirsty at night, barely ever during the day. All the grape juice in my fridge is gone because I would only drink it at night... and a lot of it. It sounds bad but nighttime is the only time I drink water.

I am normally way thirstier at night as well - I seldom drink water at home though - milk, milk, milk (4L in 2-3 days), apple juice, orange juice, decaf tea are normally my go-to's.  I do tend to drink water at work (I have a 24 oz container that I usually finish in about a 4 hour shift).  I do tend to spend half the night in the bathroom/falling bac asleep after bathroom trips!!

I drink a lot of water at night - I have a big 1 litre bottle beside my bed, which is almost always empty by morning. The only thing that is annoying about this, is the late night trips to the bathroom - between waking up to drink, waking up to pee, and then waking up because LO is moving around - I hardly get any sleep!!!

Yep, went through three large glasses overnight...only thing i've found that helps is using the humidifier overnight so the room isn't so dry...i think its partly a winter heat thing.

This is probably my problem too.  I just crave ANYTHING salty, which is not a good thing for someone with chronic HBP.    I am so thirsty at night, but if I drink, then the heartburn starts...so I usually try not to drink even water between bedtime and morning.

Pedialyte has a lot of sugar and calories.  It's good after vomiting or diarrhea but I would not use it as a replacement for water.  Try drinking more water during the day whether you're thirsty or not.  If you wait until you're really thirsty, you're already dehydrated.
