Ecover?

Hi, I'm a long-time lurker finally coming out to ask a questionSmile.  I apologize if this has been asked recently...the search function isn't working and TB is being slow for me today.

I've seen a lot of talk about Ecover fabric softener for CDs.  I've never heard of it before.  I'm intrigued because I always thought you couldn't use any type of softener on CDs.  I have a variety of diapers and was wondering - is it safe to use on all CDs?  How do you fit it into the wash routine?

Re: Ecover?

  • It's my understanding that it's safe to use on everything except PUL. I wash as normal, go to the washer pull out my pockets/covers (anything with PUL) and add the ecover for an extra rinse. Great for prefolds, fitteds, wipes and bamboo/hemp inserts. I would recommend it if you have a lot of natural fibers in your stash.

  • I just got some yesterday but haven't used it yet.  I think it is okay for anything without PUL.  I read some old posts that said to take everything with PUL out of the washer before the last rinse and then add a capful of ecover.

HTH.  I will be trying it out tonight!

This, exactly. I <3 my Ecover for my Goodmama fitteds, wipes, Hemp Babies, and Fab Doublers!
