Recipe Wednesday?

I am copying this from the TTCAL board, but I think it would be fun to share a favorite recipe each week. This week with the Superbowl I am going to share an appetizer recipe, but feel free to share any recipe you would like.

Also, if you think this is stupid, just tell me so and I won't post it again! Stick out tongue

  • This is my H's favorite and it's one of the most simple things to make, so I like it too!

His family calls it moose poop, I have also heard it called hankey pankey. Whatever you want to call it, it's fattening and delicious!

Brown 1lb ground beef, 1 lb bob Evans spicy sausage (in the red roll) and a block of Velveeta

Brown the meats and drain the fat. throw them in a crock pot and dice up the whole block of velveeta. Turn the crock pot on high until the velveeta is melted then you can turn it to low and serve! I always serve it with the little slices of pumpernickle bread but it's good on just about anything.

    Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

    Ingredients:

     -          25 fresh jalapenos

    -          14-16 oz. cream cheese

    -          2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

    -          2 (16 oz.) packages of bacon

    -          Toothpicks

*** YOU MUST WEAR GLOVES OR BE VERY CAREFUL. THE JALAPENO JUICE WILL STAY ON YOUR HANDS EVEN AFTER WASHING THEM AND WILL BURN IF IT GETS IN A CUT, YOUR EYES, ETC. ***

    Directions:

    1. Cut the stems off peppers, and cut them in half long ways
    2. Remove the seeds and insides of the peppers
    3. Mix together the cream cheese and shredded cheese
    4. Fill each pepper with the cream cheese mixture
    5. Cut the bacon packages in half (down the middle) so that each strip of bacon is a half strip of bacon
    6. Begin to cook, slightly (don?t over cook, the bacon needs to be limp)
    7. Wrap a half slice of bacon around each jalapeno pepper half
    8. Hold in place with a tooth pick
    9. Place on a baking sheet and place in 450? oven for 10-15 mins
    10. Remove and serve when cooled

  • I just started a cooking blog. Definitely check out the buffalo chicken crockpot sandwiches. I know a lot of ppl have posted the recipe here before but it really is amazing. yummy!

  • I'll play.  You know I'm always down for anything food-related :D.

My fave Superbowl appetizer recipe has to be Buffalo Chicken Dip.  Seriously, that stuff is like crack!
