I remember when I was lurking a while ago you posted about a Skip Hop diaper bag that you purchased... Do you still love it? I read online that it falls apart easily. Have you found that?

I have the same bag - this one (pewter dot) - and I love it! I've been using it for several months now as both my purse and as a diaper bag and it's held up just fine.  I did read those reviews you're talking about and it worried me but I haven't had that problem. I love that it doubles as a purse (and doesn't look like a diaper bag) b/c I hated carrying 2 bags around everywhere I went!

if you keep an eye out for it, the price drops on Amazon from time to time - I got mine for just $33 it routinely drops to around $60 I think.

Totally agree! I read those same reviews and felt a bit nervous, but it got such good reviews on multiples websites that I decided to go for it. I'm SO glad I did, because I love it! It's very stylish - I have no problems carrying it as a purse and wouldn't mind keeping it even after I don't need a diaper bag any more - has great pockets and is really comfortable when hanging from your shoulder.

I don't know what those people who complain that it falls apart are doing with the bag, because I'm not gentle with mine - it gets tossed around, dumped on the floor, etc - and it's held up just fine. The only damage it has is a tiny bit of scraped fabric along the back where I ran it along the corner of a brick wall (some of the fabric is kind of satiny feeling, and that's the bit that pulled up) but I think that's pretty reasonable wear and tear!

And yeah, definitely keep an eye out for a sale - it goes down on Amazon fairly regularly. 

Oh, and I don't know what color you were thinking of getting, but go for the pewter dot pattern. Seriously. It's fab in person. I was thisclose to getting black because I'm frankly not a very stylin' person lol, and black is neutral but I'm so happy with the dot pattern.

yeah I did post it on FB when it was $33 on amazon but it only lasted a few hours then! plus i'm guess you didn't have BOTB at that time

Hey Cai... I got that bag when Jaime posted it for $33. I love it. I tried two other Skip Hops prior and both ended up being too small -- the Duo Deluxe and Dash Deluxe. Stuff was always spilling out, even though I don't think I pack much in there. This bag is chic and very functional, and soooo worth it for the sale price.
