We are in a "Power State of Emergency" kid you not:) No one can really explain it but because it is so cold people are using too much power so they are having to do rolling blackouts to aviod an overall blackout.
Bottom line Texas can do 112 degrees in the summer but anything below 30 in the winter and our cities shut down!

HAHA I am in Houston and we just let our schools out because of the rolling blackouts. Students are going home early so they can be at home without power instead of here. Our students found out 15 min before they were being dismissed they would be leaving - how are parents going to handle that one?
Mommy to DS1 ~10.11.05~ DD1 ~07.22.07~ DD2 ~09.10.10~
Sorry, that does suck. We have been lucky and not experienced any power outages yet, but all my friends and family (and H's job) have been having them.
Me and DS are both getting stir crazy too. I can't wait for this to melt, looks like it may be crappy until Saturday!
