Wednesday Shredding Check In

D3 for me again today and boy did I want to skip today.  I started sleep training my son last night so I spent a long night on the couch...my husband mentioned I looked like death (in an I love you kind of way)...but I rallied and I am glad I did.  I felt great and actually feel like I have some energy to make it through today (another blizzard in Boston).  So I did modify a few moves and I would love some input from you L3ers.  I decided not to do the rock star jumps bc even though I do not have bad knees, I feel like those could actually give me bad knees.  I did double jump ropes (L2) instead.  I was trying to do something similar.  I also did not do the full sit up so I did the double crunches from L2 and the jump lunges I swapped out for the bicep curls with lunge from L2.  What do you guys think?  Do those modifications seem to make sense?  I am all ears for advice.

P.S. I turn 33 today and my birthday gift was another pound lost on the scale!

    I skip those same moves in L3 for the same reasons.  I've been doing punches with weights instead of one of them, jumping jacks with weights for another (which is still high impact but doesn't bother my knees like those other moves did), and squats with arm weights for the third. 

    I took the last two days off and need to get back into it today!

  • Well happy birthday!! Today was D27 L2.5 for me again. I also did my exercise yesterday but was in before there was a check in. Today was great and I am really getting high on my jump ropes! I am loving the modified version and plan to stick with it for a while. Yesterday we also got snow and ice today. I had to shovel our driveway (which isn't small) and I noticed a huge difference in my endurance! 6 weeks ago I would have had to stop and go inside a million times. Yesterday I did it all in one time with only short breaks to give my back a rest. I am pretty excited. My weight loss has plateaued and I am stuck at 3.3lbs but I suppose I can deal with that considering yesterday's events!'

  • Congrats on your weight loss and happy birthday!  I skipped yesterday but I'm back at it tonight to finish up L1 and then it's on to L2 tomorrow. As of this morning, I'm down 3 lbs so I am definitely seeing results from this and eating better overall.

    D17 L2.  I'm getting better at it as each day passes.  I have a feeling I'll be staying on L2 longer than 10 days though. I  want to be able to do the workout without having to modify and miss reps.  I'm not in this workout to be "done" so I don't mind staying back until I can conquer it.

  • Rest day for me today - my knees are killing me!
  • I haven't checked in in a while, put I am still shredding. I took a 5 day break while SO and I were out of town. I plan on adding on 5 extra days of level 3 at the end. But for now, I'm L2 day 16. Well, it will be 16 once I actually get off my butt to do it. I feel really discouraged today and am toying with the idea of taking a day off. Ugh.

    On a happier note, good job to all of you pushing through!
