Cry it out users...WDYT?

We Ferber'd DS 2 weeks ago and he was sleeping like a champ until about 4 or 5 nights ago. He's been waking up every 2 hours or so and I have to go in, give him his soother and hold him for a bit and then put him down. I'm exhausted, yesterday he got a sniffly nose and today has been sneezing. I was at the dr. Today and got them to check his ears and throat, they are fine. So what do you think, is he sick enough that I should just let him sleep with me or should I still let him CIO? Also, I gave him Tylenol before bed just in case.

  • Personally, I would let my DS CIO if I were in that situation- it's all what you're comfortable with, though.

  • This sounds like a 'listen to your gut" situation.  You know his cries better than anyone.

  • Thanks ladies, I wrote this post as he was crying after waking up about 45 minutes after going to bed. I did leave him cry and in 5 minutes he was out again so I guess he was just fine.

  • DD had been waking up EVERY HOUR for her paci so we decided to quit that cold turkey and go to a one arm swaddle so she could soothe herself. Immediate difference! Since the day we've started we've been getting 8-9 hours straight.. one or two days she woke up once.
