Teething Tablets

I know that Hyland's Teething Tablets were recalled last fall, but is there a reason that Humphrey's Teething Tablets weren't? I bought some a few days ago, thinking that they must have been approved to be back on the shelves, but I've been doing some research and I can't find anything about Humphrey's ever being recalled. Aren't they the same thing? Perhaps the levels of Belladonna are lower?

Re: Teething Tablets

  • I thought the Hylands were a voluntary recall, and that they were still safe to use. Haven't heard anything about Humphrey's. I don't know if they are the same or not.

  • From what I understand, they were recalled for being dangerous in large doses... but all meds are unsafe if you take more than the recommended dose! (I think they were also scrutinized for not having a childproof cap.) Guess I'll ask our pedi what he thinks.
