Postpartum Depression

Zoloft week 2 day 2.

Great day! I am SO happy that today was a 10 out of 10. Initially upon waking I was cranky, but who isn't after minimal sleep? It passed quickly, and DS and I had a lot of fun today. I was really pleased that he ate really well at all of his meals, too.

The Zoloft this morning didn't seem to make me as tired as it has previously. I didn't feel tired until this afternoon, so I did take a little nap with DS.

He was so tired tonight that he is already down for bed. He doesn't usually go down quite this early. This just means I really have to try to sleep tonight because I'm sure he'll want to wake up early tomorrow.

Sleeping at night is NOT improving at all... The anxiety is here and there, not consistently every night. I do think that things must be improving overall. But I don't know how to sleep at night. Even if I'm not napping during the day, which is very short for me, I can't fall asleep until 2 AM or later. And then I am up several times to put DS back to sleep. I should be exhausted by the night time.

Even though I may not necessarily feel anxious every night, it doesn't mean that my mind isn't still racing. Does that make sense?

I see my midwife this Thursday, and will discuss all of this with her. But I am pleased that I will mostly have positive things to say since last seeing her instead of feeling worse.

I really hope this lasts....

  • Yay!! So happy! Do you know a few things that really helped me when I had sleep problems

    1- chamomile hot tea before bed

    2- Lavender (natural) body massage lotion. I would rub it mostly on my chest so I would breathe it in or put lavender under my pillow.

    Both are all natural and really may help. So glad ur feeling the improvements!!
