Do you check your receipts for accuracy after you leave a store? I have to admit, I used to kind of chuckle at my mom as she would do this every time we left Wegman's, but I am starting to see the light.
I was looking through some holiday receipts and noticed that I was double-charged for an item at Target (I know I only bought one, but the quantity was "2"). I just looked at another receipt (from a recent trip to a different Target) and I was double-charged for two separate items on that transaction. I'm thinking maybe their scanners are super sensitive?
I didn't have the first receipt on me when I was returning some items at customer service a while back, and they told me to just bring it in and they'll credit the extra item. I love Target, and I'm sure it isn't the only place this happens, but check your receipts for accuracy!

Yes, especially the "buy one get one free" deals. If I am buying a handful of things, I like to get a general idea in my head of how much it should be so that if it's off I can notice it right away.
Also, I have been paying more attention to the change I get back. A few weeks ago the lady at Dunkin Donuts gave me two $1 bills back, but one of them should have been a $5 bill.
this.. except I am more like a coupon princess... since I have only been doing it for a little over a month...
EVERY time I go to Target, I check my receipt because they undoubtedly make a mistake. Either charging me twice, not taking the sale price, or something was mispriced. And, usually, when I bring it to their attention, they argue with me.
