I just bought my first sewing machine. My experience consists of my Gram teaching me years ago to sew a straight stitch - so I can do hems and pillow cases. Talk about basic. (And since the only sewing machines I've ever used were older than me - ie btw 40 and 50yrs old - boy was I shocked to get a sewing machine that threads the needle itself and has electronic display! LOL)
Anyway, I plan on taking some classes and I thought I would ask you ladies if you could recommend any simple, baby-related patterns. I'm hoping to be able to make baby clothes, wipes, maybe diapers or diaper covers, etc.
Thanks for any recommendations you may have!
Re: Question for anyone who sews...
Start with flannel wipes! They are really easy. You could zigzag all around or sew 3 sides, turn right side out, and sew the top closed. Easy peasy. And the more you make, the better your sewing skills will be.

baby blankets can be super easy too. I usually get square yard of flannel and one of a cute cotton print. Then I just sew binding around the edges. Either bias binding or blanket binding works, but you have to miter the corners if you use blanket binding so it's just a tiny bit more work.
I also make sure that I wash and dry the fabric together first so that they don't shrink different amounts after they're stitched together.
