heart palps?

So last night I was laying in bed and started feeling heart palpitations in my throat. They were all sporadic, sometimes a few minutes would go by, sometimes a little longer. I have never had heart palps before so it was a little alarming. However, after I consulted Dr. Google, it appears to be a somewhat common pregnancy thing... Anyone else have this going on? Today we are getting hit  by a snow storm, so I wont be venturing to the Dr's but I figured I may if it kept up.

I didnt visit dr. google but i had been wondering about them!  I was holding off until my appt next week.

I had them before pregnancy and then they went away around conception time (my doctor thinks my previous issue is hormone related and this preg might make it better/go away).

However, over the last few weeks I've noticed some palpitations at night when I'm going to sleep. I'll likely bring it up at my next appointment if they are still there, but I'm not concerned at all -- they are more of an annoyance than anything else.

I hope yours go away soon!

Yeah i've been having them. It didn't really scare me, but last night I got them and they lasted longer than usual. It kind of freaked me out a bit. I just tried to tell myself that it was normal for pregnancy.

I've def. had them with pregnancy too. I'm not a doctor but I've heard that as long as you're not sweating or feeling light headed when you have them (and they're quick) try not to worry too much but I'd mention them at your next appointment.

I've had them too. Just randomly here and there. It feels funny and sometimes statles me, but I figure it's because of the increased blood volume and extra work my heart has to do to pump it all LOL

i had them as well before pregnancy...i have had a couple of episodes during this pregnancy but i herd the same thing that they are common because of blood volume increasing...but to put your mind at ease check with the doctor of course...:)

I am so glad this was brought up. I've been having them too, and like others I figured it was just because of the extra blood volume. It still worried me though. I had them even before pregnancy, so I'm kind of used to them. But it makes me feel way better to know that it's common in pg and that others are experiencing it too. Thanks for easing my mind as well!
