Cloth Diapering

May seem like a silly ? but...

do you use powder with cloth diapers? I know you're not supposed to use diaper rash creams/ointments, but I never thought about whether or not to use powder. Thanks.

Re: May seem like a silly ? but...

  • You can use CD-safe diaper rash creams.

Powder is not recommended. Frankly, I've never seen the need.

  • You're not supposed to use powder at all, CDs or not.  Something about the inhalation risk, I don't remember the exact details, just that it was a no-no.

  • Thanks, I thought not, but figured I'd ask anyway.
  • Talc is the danger in baby powder. You can get talc free powder, but I don't know anyone that uses it anymore.

They are soft and already very good and hygienic to use.
