Embryo Transfer / Bladder

Did your doctors request a full bladder for embryo transfer?  I have a super overactive bladder and was just told they normally need a full bladder.  Thoughts????
Married 5/2002 TTC #1 since 3/2010 Male Factor Infertility (low motility) 1/31/11 - starting first IVF cycle w/ ICSI 2/18/11 - started follistim and menopur 3/2/11 - ER (31 eggs, 23 fertilized, 4 frozen, 1 ET) 3/7/11 - Transfered 1 embie....fingers crossed. 3/16/11 - BETA #1 - 102!!!     Yup, full bladder. It sucked, but was worth it!
    DS #1 born 11/23/06 - our IVF miracle! Missing our sweet baby who was spontaneously conceived. 20 week loss on 6/24/10. DS #2 born 10/22/11 at 38w1d after FET #1. Life is GOOD!!!!!

    Yup.  But they were running late so I overdrank the water and thought I was going to explode.  I think they ask that so that the bladder pushes down on the uterus and makes the area smaller so they can get a better shot.

    I haven't done it yet, but my RE said that a full bladder is a must.

    Yes I had to have a full bladder.  This allows them to get a better view when doing the transfer.

    Ditto PP's.  Full bladder is best for an ET.

    Tried 4 cycles of Clomid, TI, Gonal-f, and IUI's - all BFFN's
    Both tubes removed Nov '09
    Low AMH = 0.3
    IVF #1 for Feb '10 - cancelled due to poor response - Gonal-f and Repronex
    IVF #1.2 for June '10 - Gonal-f, Menopur, and micro Lupron
    ER - 6/19 (2 retrieved), ET - 6/22 (1 transferred with ICSI), Beta 7/5 = BFFN
    IVF #2 for Nov '10 was cancelled due to poor response - Follistim, Repronex, and micro Lupron
    IVF #2.2 for Feb '11 - Gonal-f, Repronex, and Ganirelix
    ER - 2/24 (8 retrieved), ET - 3/1 (2 transferred with ICSI), froze 3, Beta 3/11 = BFFN
    FET - 4/19 (3 transferred), Beta 4/28 = BFP, EDD 1/4/12

    My paperwork says full bladder.  It pains me to think about it!
