How many CD's do you need?

I know-- basic question- but I just searched back posts for over an hour and couldn't find the answer

We are planning on CDing, but I have no idea how many we should get! I have 4 gdiapers size small scored from CL, but that's it so far.

I know the temptation to have tons is always going to be there, but what's a good starting number?

The FAQ link is hiding in the upper right of the main board.

24-30 is a good number for newborns (washing every 2nd day).

We started off with 21 prefolds and about 4-5 pockets/AIOs of various brands to see what we would like.  For a month or two we were washing every other day.  At about 3 months, we were down to every 2-3 days for washing.
