Clicky poll: temping during IUI

 I temped this cycle, but my high temps (due to progesterone suppositories and crinone gel) got my hopes up for no reason.  Thinking of putting down the thermometer!!![Poll]

Nope... gave up temping once I started meds since they can mess with your temps.  Since I was being closely monitored I knew when I was ovulating anyway so I didn't need the temps to tell me.  

 

It can be hard but for your own sanity, it might be the best thing to do:)

This is only my first one, but I did not this cycle and it feels nice to have the break

I temped during all of my IUI cycles because my RE required us to.

I quit temping on cycle 17 because it was giving me trouble sleeping.

I haven't temped since and sleep much better at night since I am not so anxious.

When we started treatments, my RE said to drop the temping bc my meds would likely throw it off and my monitoring would tell me what I needed to know about impending O.  I was more than happy to oblige!

My new RE loves temp charts, so I had to pick the thermometer back up this cycle. I'm not a fan, but I do what I must

I am temping and I know I don't have too.  I just kind of felt the need to temp to let me feel like I had control of something....If I have to do another IUI, not sure if I will.

I used to.  I know medication can mess with it and you're monitored, but I liked to see what was going on.  It always worked for me, whether clomid or injectables.

I didn't. I stopped temping when we started medicated cycles- I had the u/s and trigger to tell me when I ovulated, and for me 2 WW was stressful enough without temping. I am enjoying the break from it.

I said nope!  Meds can mess with your temps and my RE says no temping during meds.  She says to only use OPK's so that is what I do!  I don't like temping anyway so it is like a break!

I tell myself every cycle that I will quit temping once I start the progesterone, and every cycle I can't seem to get myself to give it up.

I do, but only really around ovulation because I want to see if the timing is actually lining up to what we think it is.  I stopped doing it through the end a few cycles ago when my temps stayed up for like 16 days past O.  What a mind f*ck that was.
