Wooden ring stacker, wooden puzzles, other wooden blocks or shape sorter.  We actually have a few wooden toys from Target - not etsy items, obviously, but more affordable (not sure if MIC is an issue for you/them).  We also have found the occasional great item at our local kids' consignment store.
