Whew, so I finally told my boss. Thing is, I NEVER see my boss. I work nights as a nurse, and our unit supervisor is only around weekdays during the day. So...I've actually only met her like twice! Anyway, I emailed her because I had to call in sick again to work last night (3rd time). I just explained I'm having severe m/s and that I could provide a doc's note if needed. I gave her my due date and asked about paperwork for maternity leave and who I speak with since I will be one week short of working there for a year (assuming I even make it to my due date!) I guess there's a 30% increased chance of pre-term labor working nights.
She emailed back and said she already knew, that word travels fast, not to worry about my sick days and congrats! So glad that's over, and so happy they're not mad at me for calling in!
