Do you have any Aiden & Anais blankets? They are awesome for swaddling - they're huge, so you can wrap and wrap until they're secure. I think I've given these to everyone I know who has a baby.

This. I could burrito her up tight with the A & A blankets. Now we double wrap in an A & A plus a swaddleme. She hasn't busted out of the combo wrap yet.

These are great blankets, but they still were no match for Sadie. She can break out of the SwaddleMe and the Miracle Blanket so the A&A's were child's play for her. Now they function as lovely, expensive burp cloths, LOL.
Sadie is not impressed. "This ribbon has been reported." - lovesnina
They also make awesome capes when they're older. My friend has older kids and those blankets are still used all the time - comfort, sleeping, blankets and heavily used for play. You can be a gypsy, a prince or princess, you can tie up your younger brother...

The woombie is the only thing Lila couldn't get out of. Well that and the escape proof swaddle but then she would sweat like a roast pig so that didn't really work out either.
I couldn't swaddle to save my life. Thank goodness for the miracle blanket.
Best. Blanket. Ever. DD could bust out of any swaddle, but it took her a good 3-4 months before she figured out how to bust out of the Miracle Blanket. That is my go to shower/new baby gift.

Our nurses had a fancy way to wrap Cam that we didn't know about until we were in the hospital. They'd fold the blanket down into a trianangle like normal, but then they'd fold the top down about 3 inches before putting her down onto it. then they tucked her hands under that little fold as they wrapped her. It worked pretty great for a couple weeks, and then we started using the swaddlemes because we never had any A+A blankets.

The Halo Sleepsack Swaddles and the Woombie/swaddle pod were awesome. The swaddle pod worked perfect when Baby Bun was new. The fleece swaddle sacks from Halo were my favorite.
Both of my boys pretty much laughed at me if I used anything other than a Miracle Blanket. Even those ended up being no match for them.
LOL!
Evan hasn't gotten his arms out of the miracle blanket yet but he's ended up with feet out. One time he got a sock off and out of the blanket but his feet were still inside. No clue how he pulled that off.

My first swaddles with the A+A she broke out of. It was only when I wrapped her very tightly that it worked.
