How do yall feel about the name Meredith for a little girl?

Middle name will be Kateri (pronounce kah-teer-uh, it's a family name) and our last name is Lee.

Nothing wrong with it...not too out there, not spelled yooneekly.

But, it's totally NMS. When I hear "Meredith", my mind thinks of a 55 year old spinster living alone with her 12 cats in a one bedroom apartment who burns incense to "keep the devil out", while mumbling under her breath that people are awful.

I like it, love older names. I was in HS with a Meredith. She went by Mer (mare). I'd much prefer it to the trendy names. I know a ton of sopies, bellas, and Madison/Addison girls.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's what comes to mind with names like Ethyl and Francis for me. But, I had a good friend in high school named Meredith, so that's what I associate the name with!

This is one my favorite girls names. NN Mere or Merry or whatever...this is #2 on our list and our top favorite for a girl is two family names....so if we end up having 2 girls one of them will definitely named Meredith.

I like it.  It reminds me of Grey's Anatomy so there are no old lady connections for me like there are for pp's.

old lady?? NO WAY! Meredith is a beautiful name!!! i have two good friends named Meredith and I think it's a great "kid grow into adult"name. I love Mere for a nickname and Meredith Lee sounds great!

They were named after the Catholic saint Kateri Tekakwitha... she was Native American, and I know that Kateri is a form of Katherine. I don't know much else about the name though (unless you want to know about the Saint Kateri... all my Catholic classes didn't go to waste lol!)
