I have been putting regular MS and GM on my boy overnight. He wakes up with the diaper completely soaked, but it doesn't leak on his jammies at all.

Is that ok? Is that how overnight fitteds work, too?

DD's XL/toddler MSO is not completely soaked in the morning. Her old style MSOs are, but don't leak onto the wool.

as long as you are not having leaks you are good.  You can try adding a hemp doubler and that may help keep the diaper a little drier on the outside.
