What to eat before induction?

I'm going in for my induction in the evening hours so any idea what I should eat that day?

Anything and everything. LOL.

I've heard to stick to bland food because of heartburn/barfing. And I've heard you're not supposed to eat 12 hrs prior. So, I think you should prob ask your doc on this one...

Yikes about the not eating... you think they would have told me that... I will be making a phone call tmrw.  Thanks for the heads up.

Well, for my csection I was given VERY detailed instructions about how I can brush my teeth, but NOT swallow my toothpaste. Which really makes me wonder - who the heck does that?!

I ate whatever I wanted.  No biggie.  They don't let you have anything once you are there, so I would be full when you show up because it could be a long process.

This! I was induced with DS on a Monday morning. I pigged out all weekend, and had a huge breakfast right before! I knew I wouldn't be eating for a while once I got there!

I was induced on a monday as well. Pigged out the night before and then didn't have breakfast in the morning becuase it was too darn early, but when I got there, they let me eat until I was considered to be in active labor... which didn't happen for 12-14 hours, so I got to eat breakfast and lunch. But I have gd so it may have been because of my sugars and not possible if you are just over due or something.

with DS I went in on a Sunday night to start with Cervadil.... I had some pizza (nothing exciting).  Depending on how you are progressing you may get to have some breakfast.  I got to eat a bagel Monday morning... DS was born Tuesday early AM.  GL!!
