How was your first pp Af?

I just weaned 2 weeks ago and last night I just go my first period pp. I am almost 5 months pp and Af has been terrible so far! Painful cramps, heavy bleeding and even nausea. I have never had bad periods, even after my first son. Is this normal? Will it be like this every month now? What was your experience like? Thanks for sharing.

Mine was very light, only lasted a day and a half. I'm still breast feeding though.

I got mine one week after weaning.  It was horrible.  Not so much the cramps and nausea, but it was so heavy I was worried and talked to my mom about it - like one super ultra tampon would only last maybe 3 hours.  Thankfully, it was only that pd that was that heavy - the second time was back to my normal flow, and hopefully this week will be the same.  I really enjoyed having no periods last year.

My bleeding is heavier and and the duration is longer, and my cramps are worse than they were before I got pregnant. No nausea though, fortunately. I loved being pregnant, and not having my period is something I really miss about it!!!

Mine was hell for 2 days- like a murder down there but then very light for 2 days.

My first one was very light and only last 3-4 days. It was the 2nd one that was bad. Really heavy. I had to use pads as back ups to tampons, just in case I couldn't change them out fast enough. Gross but true.

I just got mine two weeks ago and I am still BFing. It was very light and lasted about 2-3 days. I am still pretty annoyed I got it already, since I still nurse overnight.

I'm totally dreading this, I'm planning on weaning over the next month and switching to all formula by the end of Feb.

The very first one wasn't bad, but the second one was atrocious. I'm glad I was home during the 1st couple days of it or I would have made my surroundings look like the texas chainsaw massacre. I actually got dizzy a couple times, probably from losing iron.
