I bought a few maternity shirts and have some from a friend, just mainly tshirts, and I really noticed they aren't as long as my regular shirts. I really feel like I would get more use out of my LuLuLemon tank tops and some other tshirts I have then some actual maternity shirts. I think it will be a long, long time until I feel I actually need maternity shirts...

We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

Yeah? These are motherhood ones and a couple thyme ones (a Canadian maternity store).
I have the same problem. I bought some that were babydoll or empire waist and those seem to show my bump and hide some of the fat, lol.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

My favorite tank right now is from Target, I like that it's not too long, but it's got a ton of stretch, and it maintains its shape well. My ON ribbed tanks all seem to stretch out and get floppy.
As for other shirts, I've mostly been shopping in the non-KU sections, just going a size up and finding materials with a lot of stretch to last me awhile, and empire tops.
I find that a lot of maternity shirts have details that I think are hideous, like the weird middle-of-the-cleavage knots and twists, or they're overly gathered on the sides.
LOL!
So far all my maternity stuff from Motherhood and JCPenny's has been really long. I'm not impressed with the quality of my Motherhood tops. I feel like my Penny's stuff is better and they were less than 1/2 the price.
