anyone have depression while pregnant?

I had PPD with DS but I got it when he was 10 months old. I'm obviously pg again and DS is a rambunctious 3 y.o.  There's been times when I'm watching him (SAHM) that I can't seem to handle his tantrums and disobedience.  I know he's only doing what a 3 year old will do, but he's making it very difficult.  I have bad sciatica and horrible pulled muscle feling in my crotch.  I cannot chase him or pick him up when he's throwing a tantrum.

Last night I had this crying attack just because DS wouldn't stop crying.  I had to call DH from his wrestling tournament to come home because I just couldn't handle it.

I wonder if it's just pregnancy hormones or depression?  I have a dr appt tomorrow but was just wondering others' experiences.

My PPD was diagnosed last Monday. My midwife says I had that obviously since May when DS was born, but I probably am just depressed on top of it. Being pregnant kind of threw everything into what we call 'the perfect storm'. Glad you will speak to a doctor. I was prescribed Zoloft, but it's still early. I'm not seeing definite change yet.

good luck with your zoloft.  when I had PPD they put me on wellbutrin and it took about 10-14 days before I felt a change.  Things just felt better and lighter and clearer.
