Headaches!!! Grr...

Anybody else been getting rough headaches? It's driving me crazy and Tylenol doesn't do anything for me. FI is freaking out and thinks I might have something wrong. I told him it's a PG symptom but he doesn't buy it. Please tell me I'm not alone!! What have you been doing to subside the pain?

Re: Headaches!!! Grr...

  • I typically don't even get headaches so this is a new thing for me!  I've been getting them a lot - but Tylenol typically works well.  Have you mentioned it to your doctor?  Maybe she can suggest something?  I'm sorry!

Tell your husband it definitely is a pg. symptom!!

  • This just started bad a couple days ago so I haven't gotten a chance to talk to the doctor. I'm gonna try and hold out till our next appt a week away. Maybe just early bed time is what I need lol.

  • Or an ice cream sandwich.  That always works for me. :)

  • Me! Its just a hormone headache... a lot of people say tylenol doesn't work for those but Idk. I just use a hot towel on my head/neck or take a bath (not too hot... raising your temp is bad for the baby)

  • Ice cream.... yum. Kt - Tylenol just has never helped with any pain. Advil was what always worked and of course, can't use that Sad I'm gonna try the warm compress. Thanks ladies

  • When my headaches get really bad, I sometimes lay down on the couch with a towel and an icepack on my head. It helps!

People have said that a half a can of soda (Pepsi, Dr. Pepper) can sometimes help also!

  • Yeah I get them a ton - especially during the work week. Tylenol does work for me (thank goodness). I take 1 extra strength, which my OB said was OK...but I only take it when my headaches are REALLY bad.

I've honestly tried everything else natural - nothing works. Sometimes I have to sleep with a bag of frozen corn on my temples, that sometimes helps a bit.

  • I just started getting them really bad too, only this week. It feels like I have daggers right behind my eyes. I toughed it out for a few days, but yesterday I did take Tylenol. It helped but didn't make it go completely away. This morning I had a (small) cup of regular tea and I think the caffeine is helping. I'm going to ask my doctor about it at my appt. this week.
  • Yup, I've had terrible ones from week 8 and on. They just started to get better a week ago. I had to get a prescription for it from my doctor, pregnancy safe too, because tylenol and caffeine weren't helping me at all. Definitely ask your doctor and see what they can do for you.

  • I was having awful terrible headaches that nothing would take care of! Tylenol wouldn't even touch the pain. I brought it up to my doc and based on where the pain was he said that I was definitely experiencing sinus headaches and to try buying a humidifier for our bedroom. I run in for about an hour before I go to bed and throughout the night. My headaches are gone! He also suggested Tylenol Sinus, but I haven't had to take any! Good Luck
