Just got my first new GM. It's the birthday print and I have an appointment tomorrow for photos. Mostly just wanted it for photos and his party. WIll try to sell it after that. But not sure how these need to be prepped.

Did I see some just wear it new out of the package?

You can use it right away, but it won't be fully prepped. You'll see a huge difference in absorbency after a few washes.

I'm sure some people put it on as soon as it arrives.  I'd wash it once, so I'd know that it's clean.  It will be more absorbant after 4-6 washes.
