If you were on PIO and/or lovenox, when did you stop?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and am so afraid to stop taking progesterone. I am also worried about the lovenox because I never took that in the past. I have an almost-3 year old as a result of IVF and remember being worried then too but I guess I got over it. However, that RE had me stay on all drugs until the end of the first trimester but this RE had earlier dates on my release papers. I am just looking for what others were told. Thanks for the help!

    if you have a confirmed blood dx then staying on lovenox until 36 weeks (then heparin, just in case of c/s etc) is recommended. If it's empirical, you and your doc can make the call. (ps - generic rocks, I've done it for 2 months, I liked it better!)

    The PIO... 9-12 weeks is the norm. I know the fear!

    PIO was stopped at 10 weeks for me but with the twins they had my take oral for 2 weeks after.

     

    I have MTHFR factor II and was lovenox my entire pregnancy. With the twins I stopped at 33 weeks and went to heparin because I was having c/s. I ended up needing general so I really didn't have to switch. With Brady I took lovenox until 2 days before he was before I was not having spinal this go around and going straight to general.

    In each of my IVF pregnancies we stopped PIO around 9-10 weeks. Never took lovenox. Best of luck!

    I did progesterone supps and stopped at 12 weeks. I have mthfr, so I was on lovenox until 34 weeks and then switched to heparin. I was switched at 34 instead of 36 weeks because of my history if ptl. Not many people say this, but I would rather be on the lovenox. The injection sites with the heparin itch like crazy!

    Couldn't agree with you more!

    I also had a hell of time finding heparin anywhere because i need shortly after the thing with heparin with Kevin Costners twins!
