Wow, I feel old

How old are you people? I feel like all I've seen today are posts going "I'm 18 and I have a 2 year old" and "I'm 20 and expecting my first." Am I just the last to figure out I'm surrounded by teen moms or is this a new thing around here?

And more power to you youngsters -- there's no way I'd have the patience to chase a toddler 12 years ago!

Phew! I was beginning to feel ancient! I'm almost 32.

It's funny because I feel like such a "young mom" in DC where most of the first timers I meet are in their late 30s but my friend who is in her late 30s and just had her first in Austin is like "I'm ancient -- all the other moms are 25!"

I am going to be 21 in February.  I am young and I feel like all the moms on here are older, and like I am the only young one.  I say more power to you.

Honestly, I probably had more patience and energy a decade ago... but I think it will be easier to have a baby with a solid husband and job, which I did not have when I was 19.

Haha, I'm 20 and I always feel so young coming on these boards!  Especially the Attachment Parenting and Cloth Diapering boards; I don't know too many other moms my age that would consider either.

You are all youngsters. I'll be 38 next month. I had my first child a month before my 37th birthday. I can't imagine being 18 with a child. That would have definitely cramped those college party years.

27 here.  I definitely feel like a young mom and there is NO WAY that I could have done it in my late teens-early 20's, I was too busy drinking to think about babies.

haha yes I agree. I'm 27 and feel like a young mom, but not too young that I missed out on partying. I feel like I got it all out of my system. But even being 27 I don't have as much energy that I did before. So maybe there are pros either way.

So glad I'm not the only one. I'm 37 and turn 38 in May. She was borh a couple of months after I turned 37. (Thanks IF for the 2 and a half years of TTC!)

I'm 27. I have a tendancy to lump all people with children the same age as mine into the "my age" category. They could be 10 years older or younger, and for some reason I always consider them "my age", probably because we have similar things going on in our lives : )
