*GHM*

Just wanted some advice on car seats for my DD. She is currently riding forward facing in a Britax Marathon. She rear-faced until 2.5, but she started complaining about her knees hurting her. I tried to show her how to cross her legs, but she refused to sit that way. I have a Pontiac G6, and it really doesn't allow enough room for her to put her legs over the side, because the door is literally right next to her.

She is a very tiny 26lbs and 36 inches. So, I know that she would definitely still benefit from rear-facing. So, my question is whether or not I should invest in a new seat for her? Would the True Fit offer much more leg room? What about the Radian?

I ended up going the Britax seats, because I got such amazing deals on them, and I figured that she was tiny enough that they would work for quite some time.

Re: *GHM*

  • I JUST turned B, and she'll be 4 next Saturday. She's still not 30 lbs, and in an ideal world I'd have kept her RF--I still have quite a bit of guilt about it. I love the RF leg room in the radian. B was still very comfortable and she's 42 inches (or taller). M is 36 or 37 inches and is very comfy RF in her radian. I've heard the truefit offers good leg room, but I think it's not as much as the radian. I've never had my kid in one, so I don't know. I definitely think it's a good idea to turn her RF again. Here's a link to my carseat album on FB:

You can see the leg room in the boulevard vs the radian.
