Poop help - frustrated

for the past day DD has been making this noise like she presses her lips together and blows/spits and goes boooo - she looks upset and turns red and is crying - I've seen her do this before at my parents house and she was constipated there too - she will sometimes make the noise without turning red/spitting/crying when she is getting her diaper changed and is "talking" I think she is constipated - she pushes almost every time she eats and pushed last night too and nothing comes out - she is also refusing solids(hasn't done that yet - but it might also be that my homemade food isn't as smooth as the jarred stuff) - when she makes the funny upset noise I've been giving her 2-3 oz formula and she's been eating it (she usually refuses formula unless she is starving but has taken 16 oz since yesterday at 9 pm- way more than she normally does) So is this constipation, growth spurt, teething? All three? Something is bugging her and I am frustrated trying to figure it out.

Ugh me to - I even try to take her diaper off when I see her pushing and bicycle her legs - I have been helping her poop and she has been pooping pellets for the past couple days and nothing really in the last day - I hate constipation

Try giving her some apple or prune juice (or even prunes babyfood). Those should help.

Our pedi had us do 1/2 teaspoon of Milk of Magnesia in her formula for a couple of days.  Hope it gets better soon!
