So, my husband and I have only been TTC for 2 months. I got what appeared to be my AF on 1/15/11 but it was not normal for me on or off the pill. This was my first AF off the pill so I assumed that it was just an abnormal flow issue, especially since I have been on BCP for 8 years. BUT... i have been nauseous every am this week, but not until I've been awake and moving around for about an hour. I am so on the fence about it. I want to be pregnant, but I don't know if I am just over analyzing. Should I take a pregnancy test?
Re: question.... i'm a newbie
If you want to know if you're pregnant then take a test. We really can't help you out by guessing.
And yes, your period will most likely be different while your body is getting used to being off BCP. Give it time.
This exactly. GL.

My period changed a lot being off the pill verses being on the pill. It got shorter and lighter. And I was also nauseous my first month off, but it was just my body getting used to going of BCP.
POAS if you think you may be KU, if it is + or - you will know.
Just a question though, how do you know your period was different from being on and OFF the pill if you haven't been off BCP in 8 years and it is your first period since being off BCP?
Welcome to TTC lol! Are you charting your cycle at all? I know not everyone chooses to, but it can be really helpful in determining when you ovulated and with that knowledge, when to test.
Also, I can only speak for myself, but I definitely started over analyzing every little thing when we started TTC. Ute twinges, nausea, hangnails, lol. Check out Taking Charge of Your Fertility (book) and/or Fertility Friend (website), I learned a TON from both resources.
GL to you!
When I said my AF was different on and off the pill, i meant before i started BCP 8 years ago. At that point it was 14 days long with super heavy bleeding for about 10 days. On the pill it was only 8 days long with heavy bleeding for about 4. This last one, was wayyyy different than any other AF i have had. It was heavy for 1 day, stopped for a day and a half and then light for 2 days. While I am super happy it did not return to the AF that i remember from high school, it still freaked me out a little bit. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the warm welcome, RedRobin! I have not started charting my cycle as of yet. I have been meaning to get a copy of that book, but haven't had a chance to go out and get it. Maybe I will make it a point to go and buy it this weekend.
Thanks everyone and good luck!!
