If you have ever taken apart a digital hpt (bfp mentioned)

Ok, thanks to TTCAL I got out my nail file this morning to open up the digital CBE hpt.  I needed to see the line for myself.  My question is, which is the control line?  Is it the line closest to the pee stick?  I wish I opened up the one I took 2 days ago which was also positive.

Yes I realize if I can't tell the difference, it's probably a good thing but obviously I'm nervous.  I'm even more nervous b/c I feel so hopeful and I feel like I'm just asking for a big dose of harsh reality.  Monday (CD 28) when I plan on going into the RE can not come soon enough.

    I have never taken one apart but I'm thinking on regular pee sticks, the control is the one that is farthest from the part that you pee on. And if you have a positive on a digital, no real need to question it. Congratulations!

    Thanks! Ok that was my guess but since I've used mostly ept's with the plus sign I couldn't remember what the 2 line tests look like.

    Congrats!!!! Woohoo!!
    Started TTC in 2/09. Dx with PCOS in 09/09. BFP on 11/7/09.
    Dx with Ectopic on 12/7/09. Laparoscopy, D&C, and lost my left tube on 12/08/09.
    01/11 = BFP!

    Because you said that I googled (they were given to me and I don't have any instructions) and I guess the lines don't mean anything but at least the test said pregnant both times.  I should have bought a damn ept, lol.

    Digital HPTs are different than regular HPTs. They  often have two lines inside regardless of the postive/negative, so I'm not sure which is the "control" but it doesn't really do you any good to take them apart.

    My approach was to just keep peeing on line tests - I find them more satisfying than digitals for this exact reason, you can hold them up to the light and check them out. We're all sick in the head.

    I've never taken one apart, but I hope it really was a BFP!

    Digitals are different, so I'm not sure.  As long as it said positive, then congratulations are in order!

    Yaaaaaaay congrats!! I took apart. Walgreens one once and it had a very very very faint line negative but positive the lines were equal color. Just go with the fact that it says preggernant!!! Congrats!!

    Congratulations!
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.
