Final time asking.

Well ladies this is the last time because i am getting fed up with names.

We had picked Finnegan but I used it in a sentence and i hated the way it sounded. So the two names we are stuck on are Eli and Liam. I like Eli and DH likes Liam.

so i came up with Liam Eli Snyder

What do you think? does that sound too off? I am giving in to DH because i kind of like the name but i like it more than Finn/ Finnegan right now. 

Ive been trying to talk him into Ronan, but he wants to spell it Ronin because thats how we would pronounce it. ( i rolled my eyes at him).

Eli and Liam are not my first picks and i really am settling but DH and I cant decide on ANYTHING else.

any input would be appreciated!

I dislike all of them other than Liam.  I love Liam.  I personally don't like Liam Eli together.

I don't like them together.  Our Eli is Eli William (which Liam is a NN for). 

I'm not a fan of Ronan.  Always reminds me of Conan the Barbarian. 

I'd either go with William Eli, nn Liam or something like Liam Elijah.

I like both Liam and Eli (actually love Eli), but not together. They are both a bit too similar IMO. And Ronan - yes; Ronin - no.

I actually love Finnegan (w/the nn Finn), but cross it off your list if you're not feeling it anymore. Better now than after you've named him!

How about Fintan with a nn of Finn?  I have friends who have a son named Fintan and I had never heard it but it has grown on me--like it much better than Finnegan.

You could use Phinnas or Finley or Finnian.

I love Liam--but do not like it with Eli. I think it needs a longer middle name like Liam Matthew, Liam Patrick or Liam Andrew.

How about Callum with the nn Cal?

Are you sure he doesn't just want to spell it that way because of the "kickass" movie Ronin, starring Robert De Niro and Jean Reno? Guys love that movie.

I like Elijah better than "Just Eli", but I like "Just Eli" better than Liam. I like William better than all of the above, but that doesn't really seem like your style.

Have you considered Flynn? It is a full name, unlike Finn, which IMO needs a full name like Finnegan as you mentioned before.

I LOVE Liam. I also LOVE Finn by itself.  If I didn't have cousins with both names we would quite possibly be using both of those.  What about Liam Finn??  I think that sounds cute.  I like Eli but wouldn't use it because of how popular it is.  I think it has been overused the last few years.

LOVE Ronan, really like Liam, naf of Eli.  Def. naf of 'Liam Eli'.  I could live with Ronan Eli more.

I think all of those names are very sweet for a boy! And, I also think that it would sound just as good using Eli Liam Snyder,as it would Liam Eli Snyder. However, my advice is to not settle on this. It would only be cause for tension between you and your hubby later on. I know it's hard, I'm having the same problems trying to find a name that both me and my DH like, but it's very important that you both like the name. Try out the name for a week or two. Imagine yourself calling your son by that name in various situations, and it may either grow on you, or you still won't care for it that much. Either way, sometimes you've just got to keep plugging through until you find something that you both think really fits.

it's not bad at all. i feel like liam is really hot right now, so i'm not craaazy about it (even though it's nice). i definitely like liam eli more than finnegan, even though eli isn't my style.

I LOVE Eli but I've never been on board with Liam totally. I love Liam Eli though. I think that's your best pic out of the options you mentioned.

I'm pretty sure most people would say Ronan the same as Ronin. I have a friend who just named her son Ronan and I love it.

Don't be so discouraged!  You still have lots of time before your baby arrives and you have to finalize your name selection. 

I'm not a fan of nn names so I'd go with William Elijah Snyder and then you can use the nn Liam.  It seems like both Liam and Eli are so popular right now, it might be nice to be named William instead so if there are a lot of other Liams in his class he could go by Will or Bill instead of Liam S.

Thanks everyone! I think your all right that Liam Eli just doesnt sound right. I think we need to use Finn/Finnegan in everyday situations i think its just awkward to us right now. 

i would like to have a name now because DH is going on deployment before i have the baby so in return i am going home to have the baby. But ill be going home in Feb so before we are separated we want to name him
