I found out last Friday that we would be having a miscarriage so the doctor did not really go over my options at all and actually had me scheduled for a follow up on 2/1 but I just want to get this done and over with so I can move on. So do I ask for the meds or try to insist on a D&C?
Also is/was anyone else still feeling sick if they didn't eat every 2-3 hours?
Still no spotting or anything at all!
Re: still waiting and go to the Dr. tomorrow
I asked for my D&C to be scheduled so that I could move past it. My inlaws were due to show 2 days after we found out that there was no longer a heartbeat at 9 weeks. They had no idea about the pregnancy and I did not want that conversation to happen at all. Also I had no loss of signs of pregnancy until after my doc said that my body hadn't taken notice of the loss. best wishes on a quick recovery.
Good luck and so sorry for your loss. As you may see in my post above, the D&C was unbelievably easy (it seems like it should have been harder/ more traumatic). Like you, I still had all of my pregnancy symptoms (but, I think that must have been the progesterone supplements I was on, though not sure). I have no experience with the meds, but the D&C was really easy. Obviously, though, I don't really know how it compares to the meds or what impact it is going to have on my future fertility.
Whatever you decide, good luck and may you find peace and healing in this difficult time.
The same thing happened to me. We went in on Saturday because of spotting and found out our supposed to be 11 week old baby was only 8 weeks and had no heartbeat.
I naturally miscarried on Monday but wish I would have had a D&C or meds to speed it up. It was really painful and horrible waiting for days until it happened, such an exhausting and draining experience.
I am sorry for your loss and know how awful this is, I am still going through it, just returned to work today. Hang in there
