Going on a vacation in February, need some good book recommendations to load on my Kindle. I'm on a reading kick lately so I'm going thru a lot of books (so I'm glad I had some paperbacks already and then a gift card from MIL for Christmas).
Already loaded: Room: A Novel, Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven, The Potluck Club, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (love this series, sad its the last one), and Catching Fire & Mockingjay (also like this series).
Recently read: Kabul Beauty School: An American Woman Goes Behind the Veil. Also been finishing up the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
I've already read Three Cups of Tea / Stones into Schools, The Kite Runner / A Thousand Splendid Suns (was on an Afghanistan/Pakistan bender for awhile), The Wicked series, all of Chelsea Handler's books currently out, Kathy Griffin's book, and a few historical fiction books.
4 sets of 4 hour flights + a week with my MIL will mean I need lots of things to read (especially since I can't drink and tune her out).
Re: NBR: Book recommendations?

One of my top 10 books of all time.
I love Jodi Picoult- anything by her. Going to pre-order her newest book this weekend.
Just finished Middlesex, which I really liked.
One of my favorite books of all time is The Time Traveler's Wife. I like the movie too, but it didn't do the book justice.
And thanks to this thread, I just downloaded the alchemist on my iphone.
3 more miscarriages and finally a correct diagnosis (septate uterus) and a corrective uterine surgery later, our second blessing is here!
Hunger games is good, I'm looking forward to reading the next 2.

I was going to suggest The Hunger Games series, but I see you're already reading them.
An author I've enjoyed recently is Tana French. She only has three books out right now, but they are very good. You'd find them in the mystery section at B&N. I don't usually read mysteries, but I really enjoyed all three of these.

Jodi Picoult would be my recommendation too. I brought three with me on my 3 week trip to Europe. They are so addictive that I got through them so quickly and had to buy some new books in Paris.
PS...I would have loved a Kindle on my trip!
This is my Kindle go to link, its the 100 top selling books for both money & free. They update it every hour. As soon as a book goes on for cheap its on this list so Ive been grabbing tons of books I want to read for $5 most of the time. Book mark it, Im addicted to this link.

I grabbed Water for Elephants last night after it was recommended because they dropped the price to $5, its a quick easy read & its good so far.
Are you into classic lit. at all? I'm just finishing up Little Dorrit by Dickens and it's fabulous - it's my favorite Dickens book so far, and I've read a lot of his work (I went to school for English Lit.)
I've read all of Jane Austen's books (twice...or more...haha) and my favorite of hers is Mansfield Park, but all of her novels are amazing.
I'm also a big fan of "The Lamplighter" by Maria Edgeworth.
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls!
