What do you ladies think about the following names:

Henry Michael

Michael Reid (going by Reid)

Spencer James

Bennett James

We have a very Irish last name.

I'd love any opinions you have!

These are all fine names. I do wonder though why, if you would call him Reid, you would name him Michael?  Why not switch it?

I feel like Michael Reid flows a little bit better but agree on switching it due to confusion later on down the road. I have been on the fence about that one.

This. I personally think Reid Michael flows better. I'm not a fan of Spencer, but I like the other names.

I love Reid! I would use Reid Michael for less confusion. I like Bennett, too.

I agree with the PPs about Reid.  My aunt has said several times that if she was going to go my Michele, my grandma should have named her Michele Esther instead of Esther Michele, which yes flows better but just doesn't makes sense in the long run.  And besides, I think Reid Michael flows well. 

Having said that, I like them all except Spencer.  My favorite is Bennett.  I actually know a Bennett James.  I've always liked the name!

Thanks for all of the feedback!  I appreciate the thoughts on the first name vs. middle name. The more I say "Reid Michael," the better I think it flows.

I love Henry Michael or Reid Michael. Bennet is cool too. Spencer is nms; it sounds like a really geeky kid to me.

I do not like spencer, but the rest are nice. However, I do not get the idea of using just the MN, as in your Michael Reid option.

Apparently I'm alone on this, but I really like the name Spencer.  I think it's strong and not overused.  Also, I'm a huge fan of both Henry and Bennett.

i really like them all. i fully get the 'calling by the middle name' thing. my little brother has been going by his middle name his entire life...he was named after our grandfather and it's a hebrew/difficult to pronounce for most name. i think all your names are really great.

Henry and Michael are my favorites, Spencer is ok, and I don't like Bennett.  But if you are going to call Michael by the name of Reid, then just name him Reid.  Reid Michael is fine.

Our #1 boy name is Bennett James

James is DH's first name. I don't care if his initials are BJ, he won't be going by first and middle name very often.
