My mom and aunt nicknamed him/her... I think it's cute and funny, the only downside is that we now constantly refer to it as "he" - we're finding out the sex though, so we'll have plenty of time to remedy that if necessary. I have a feeling that if it's a girl, she'll still be Ernie until she's an outside baby, though! lol
Since the 1st u/s I have been calling it "gummy bear" because that is what the baby looked like. So cute. My mom calls it the nugget. Sometimes I just call it the kid.
I don't have a consistent nickname for LO.. I just call it "my little (fruit of the week)" lol! So starting tomorrow it will be my little peach
Same. So today started PruneBaby. But I hate the prune, so I just might abandon that and go for Kumquat (per babycenter, and a much better fruit...ehem, Bump Gods).
I call it either my inside baby or The Parasite -- a nickname my sister gave it that stuck. H hates it, but on days when the M/S is bad or I feel like I have tapeworm because I stay so hungry, it seems fitting.
It sounds clinical, but you'd have to understand mine and my sister's (twisted) sense of humor :P

I recently started calling the baby Baby Ducky. DH thinks that it is stupid and started calling the baby Cookie. It's good that we agreed on names already because nicknames are not going so well for us.
After talking with her where she asked what animals we have (& we told her 2 dogs, 1 cat) we went to do the ultrasound. The moment the baby came up on the screen she said "here's your new little critter!" & then later said "your critter is really wiggling."
My husband refers to it as "The Alien", as in his excuse when I complain of M/S or tiredness and blame my husband for doing this to me. "No honey, the Alien is doing this to you, not me!". And with its big head at our first ultrasound, it looks like an alien.
I'm calling it Baby Bird or Baby Hawk. Our last name is Hawk, and my father's called me "Bird" since I was a kid.
Re: What's your nickname for your LO?
Ernie

My dr actually gave our LO it's nickname.

Thus the nickname critter stuck w/ us, we love it

DH has been calling the baby Jr, and I really dont like that all that well. It sort of referances a boy.
I thought the baby looked like a Panda bear at the last u/s so, that is what I say.
