just another hurdle

Had my anatomy scan today and all was great and found out we are having a chubby baby BOY.

I did find out that i have a very low lying anterior placenta. She asked me if i had any bleeding or spotting and I said no. I was put on restrictive activity until my next appt in 2 weeks where they will look at it again. They are hoping it doesn't become placenta previa and hoping it will move to a better position.

I know this is just another hurdle and one that might be easy to clear but I need this to resolve so i don't have to have another c/s.

Fingers crossed for your placenta to move. There's still quite a bit of time for it to, and we're all rooting for you.

Congrats on the boy!  Hoping your placenta moves--think positively and remember that 90% of low-lying placentas will move up by term.

Congrats on a boy!  My placenta was low anterior as well at the utlrasound, but the tech reminded me that placentas can only move up as the uterus grows.  Good luck at your next scan!

With DS I had partial placenta previa around 20 weeks.  Fortunately, it moved up on it's own by the time they rechecked.  Like Iris said, the majority do!  Best of luck on your next scan!
