first period after D&C?

I think I have my period. It came on exactly 4 wks after D&C (which is odd b/c I was never a 28 day girl). It came on with very mild cramps, started as spotting, has gotten heavier but is not heavy. 

I have heard a lot of girls who got heavy painful periods after D&C. I was very concerned that this wasn't a period, but it seems to be. It's been 3 days. Should I be worried? I guess I am just nervous after all I've been through.

The first AF after a MC or D&C varies widely from really heavy to hardly anything so what you're experiencing seems pretty normal.

There's a lot of variation between women. Some have longer heavier, others lighter.  Mine came about 4 weeks after my d/c and was very similar in flo to a normal one, but just a day shorter. Also, 4 weeks is sooner for me as I'm normally a 31ish day person.  I wouldn't worry.  Everybody's different and sometimes it takes a few cycles to get things back to normal.

Thanks for asking this question.  I was going to ask how long it took for some to get AF after a D&C.  I had it done last Thurs , and the Dr. said AF could come in 3-4 weeks, so wanted to see what you all might have noticed.

I would count that as your first AF. I got mine 4 or 5 weeks after my D&C and was wondering the same thing, if it really could be. Mine was 3 days, then spotted for 4-5. Since then I had a full 28 cycle which is normal for me, and I just finished my 2nd period after my D&C which was back to normal. Don't worry, you seem fine
