Pee stick experts needed

Alright ladies, I need your expertise. 

I took a FRER this afternoon and within 45 seconds I saw an extremely faint second line (I can't even tell if it is pink it's so light).  It stayed for the entire time limit but never got any darker.  My question is, can evaporation lines appear within the time limit?  Also, since I know people will ask, I do not know how many DPO I am and I plan on testing again in the morning with FMU but wanted to check to see if anyone knows the answer to this question.

I have heard of issues with the current FRER having very deep groves where the test line is and it having two lines coming out of the packaging or as soon as it gets wet so it is hard to say exactly what you experienced.  Test again tomorrow or get a digital for extra reassurance.

No, an evaporation line is something that happens when you go back and check the test hours later.  If your 2nd line appeared within the test window, it is probably valid.  GL!

Some digitals are less sensitive than FRER...  There is a site that lists pregnancy tests by their sensitivity.  I would google pg test sensitivity and find out which ones are the most sensitive and test with those.  Or, just wait and test, tomorrow, the next day, or whenever you expect your period.

I used a FRER and got a very faint but definitely pink line at 10 dpo.

 Ooooh yes, you're right... now that you bring it up, I've heard a ton of complaints about the new FRER's giving false +'s.  OP, yes, definitely test with a digital or a different brand of PINK DYE test (not blue dye, which are also notorious for faulty results and false positives).

That's what I was afraid of.  I've heard of the test line being visible for the first few seconds when wet but I was just hoping since it stayed it was valid.  I guess we will see, thanks for your response.

You are definitely PG! I took FRER six days early in DR and it was a veryyyyy faint pink line. An evap line is gray and comes up hours later. I actually thought I saw nothing and through it out then after like 15 minutes went back and grabbed it out of the trash bc I had a feeling-so crazy.  I did a lot of research in DR and a line is a line is line they say and boy were they right. I also took a CB and it was soooo light, but was definitely a cross. I didn't want to get my hopes up but three days later we got home and stopped for a digital on the way home (I was two days early then) and it read PG.  FRER ROCKS! CONGRATS!

Everyone is different, but for an estimate count back 14 days from the first day of your expected period. That should be your O day. I have a long cycle and that is still accurate for me.

We tested with a dollar tree test on the day I was expecting my period-had a really faint line. My boyfriend said he felt robbed, like there should be a definate line. So the next day we went and bought a clear blue ditigal test it was only $9 bucks at walmart. Within 45 sec it was clear as day-it read, PREGNANT. This time he smiled kissed my head and said I love you. He jokes that they should have a test that actually says outloud, congrats your knocked up! LOL

if u read the instructions that come with the test usually it will tell u a line is a line no matter how faint it is. this is my second time being pregnant and both times i got extremely faint lines with non digital tests but but the digital test i took said not pregnant, then when i took the digital test a few days later it read pregnant.  if u see a line chances are its a positive!!!

I had the same thing!  3 days after my missed period, I kept getting negatives, then on my 3rd missed day, early in the morning, I got a super-faint BFP with an Early Response, Early Response test. Now I'm 4 weeks pregnant.  What i've heard: "if there's ANYTHING there, it's a positive test."  Also, FR tests are the only test that tend not to give false positives.  Good luck!!

i tested with a walgreens brand w/fmu and got a dark line immediately.  then i went for the big guns and bought the frer and tested later that day.  the 2nd line was barely visible.  i used the 2nd frer the next morning w/fmu and it was much darker.

if there was even the slightest faint pink line then is say congrats your pregnant! But agree with pp that if you take the test early tomorrow morning then itll be darker!

I had a test (can't remember the brand) that seemed to show a VERY faint line that really didn't look pink-but-I-wasn't-sure back when I was TTC DS. It showed up immediately, but otherwise it totally fit the description of an evap line. DH insisted he didn't see it at all. Turned out I was NOT PG that time. It was just a weird little groove in the test strip, I guess. If there's enough of a line that a non-pee-stick-obsessed, not-TTGP person would actually see it there (cuz that was me, LOL!), you're probably PG. GL!

I remember a faint line while we were TTC. I thought I was being crazy, but turns out I was preggo! I simply took another test a few days later, which had an obvious positive! GOOD LUCK!!
