Cancel IVF Cycle?

I am on day 6 of stims... went to the RE and I only have 6 follicles.   The nurse downplayed it and said I am "right on track" but I am already feeling like this cycle is a bust .   When we had DD we had 11 follicles which only resulted in 7 mature eggs, the cycle before that we had a chemical but at 15 follicles and 12 mature eggs.   This time only 6?!   We have not had the highest quality of embryos and both times only made it to a 3 day transfer with only 2 decent looking embryos.   Would you cancel?    I hate to put my body through the retrieval and spend all of that money to possibly end up with no embryos on day 3 based on our history.   thoughts?

My RE would only do a retrieval with 5 or more follies.  So we would have continued.  With my first IVF, I only was producing 2-3 follies.  So it was converted to IUI.  I got pregnant that cycle, but it was a c/p.

Are they doing anything with your meds like increasing them?  What protocol are you on?  If you're on microdose lupron, there is still hope of additional follies coming into the mix.

Thanks for the response!   I am on microdose lupron so there is a chance that I may pick up a few more.    When you cycled after the cycle that was converted to IUI did they change your protocol?    Was your response better?
