Trouble TTC

Period after clomid

Was your period worse after taking clomid?  I've always had bad periods, but lately I have felt like they aren't so bad (unless I am on progesterone, which I'm not this cycle) maybe I just forgot...Did clomid change it for you?

Re: Period after clomid

  • Both rounds I've done so far have resulted in really short periods for me (3 days medicated vs 7+ unmedicated).

  • Mine was shorter and not as heavy, and then I did spot for several days.
  • I should probably also mention that unmedicated, my cycles are super long.  Anywhere from 40-60 days.  Medicated they are much closer to a normal cycle length.

  • I had four days of spotting before my period after my first month of Clomid.  I'd never, ever had that before.

  • I've had ridiculously heavy periods after both my clomid cycles...not overly long or any more cramps, just SO heavy...

  • On clomid I had a longer LP, no spotting vs. 3-4 days of spotting and no clots, much lighter. I was pleased!

  • My periods were normally 3-4 days prior to clomid and now they are 1-2 days.  They have continured to be 1-2 days even now that I'm not on clomid anymore.

  • Mine was heavy but only a few days long.  It was actually heavier than my Provera periods are.
