I like Bennett Edward. It's stately and masculine.
The girl's name is NMS. Carly is a cutesy for my taste, but it's a nice enough name, and plenty of adults wear it easily (so it matures better than I think it would).
I love Bennett Edward. Coming from someone who really dislikes feminine-sounding boy names (me), I think Bennett is quite masculine.
Carly is just okay to me. Maybe it's just not my style, but it sounds like one of those names that is cute on a little girl, but not so much on an adult.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'm not a big fan of different spellings (ie Carleigh) but I do really love the name Caroline... I really only thought of Carly being used as a nn for Carlene. I might have to mention that to DH... thanks again

Bennett isn't really my style, but it's an okay name. Carly is too nicknamey to me...I like pps' suggestions of using it as a nn for Caroline or even Charlotte.
I don't want to encourage the rise of popularity on the name Bennett, I am biased though. That is my little guys name. Some people will argue that it is "trendy" but it was my 70 year grandfathers name which is why we chose it...unfortunately I have a feeling it will gain poularity quickly.
Re: WDYT of our choices?
The boy name sounds a slightly feminine to me.
As in Bennett.....Edward is not girly at all

Carly is nms but I don't dislike it. (I know a very sweet young lady by that name.)
Bennett Edward is very strong and not at all feminine, IMO.
Love the boy name.
Girl name just seems 80's-ish to me. =( Sorry. Would you be open to Carleigh instead, for making it a little more trendy?
My Blog
I think Carly is a little cutesy for an adult. I would prefer it as a NN for Caroline
Bennett is ok...I believe it is really popular and I don't really like LNs as FNs but I do like the NN Ben...
